droplets and creates a huge cloud of water vapor

River, Foxes and wolves wander along the
riverside, where relic ash trees, djungarsky
barberry and saksaul grow.
The fantastic Castles Valley of
Charyn Canyon is a wonderful world of rock towers
made of red sandstone, all 10 to 12 million years
old.

The White
Mountains are one the most beautiful
natural phenomenon in Kazakhstan. Over the course
of 35 million years, erosion has created an
inimitable variety of cliffs and gullies, with
unusual tints of sedimentary rocks spread across

The Ili river.
While having a rest at the Leskhoz preserve, you
will see djeiran, roe deer, wild boar and other
wild animals roaming in the dense bushes of
tugai. |

lodge furnished with everything required
for a good rest, a motor boat and fishing and
hunting equipment available for use in the
preserve. |

At dawn you can catch wild
carp, zherekh, pike perch, bream and even large
sheatfish. |

 Khan-Tengry means
Lord of the Sky. This peak in the Central
Tien-Shan range is the highest mountain in
Kazakhstan, with a height of 7010 m above sea
level. Its top is the junction of the borders of
three nations: Kazakhstan, China and Kyrgyzstan.
Khan-Tengry is rightly considered to be the heart
of the Tien-Shan. Its pyramid flames in the sun
and the slopes are covered with legends. This
mountain peak is the dream of alpinists of many
generations, but only a few manage to reach the
summit, as there are insurmountable difficulties
on the way: difficult rock walls, insidious
glaciers with crevasses, rock falls, avalanches,
strong winds and arctic cold.

 The "SKIF" guest
house.
The SKIF guest house consists of a comfortable
cottage and a second house for security guards
and service personnel. It is located in the
picturesque and nearly inaccessible mountain
gorge Uryukty at a height of 2000 m above sea
level, where the Chilik and Malye Uryukty rivers
join. The two-story log cabin is on a lawn
covered with edelweiss flowers and surrounded by
century - old Tien-Shan conifers. It has all the
modern commodities visitors might need for a
pleasant rest, such as an autonomous power
generator, hot and cold water supply, sewer
system, heating, fax and satellite telephone.
Video and audio systems are available for evening
entertainment. On the ground floor is a lounge
with a fireplace, a bathroom and the kitchen.
Four bedrooms, a balcony and a second bathroom
are upstairs. A comfortable house in a tranquil
setting is indeed one of the most important
conditions for an enjoyable leisure time,
particulary when you have just returned from
hiking or horseback riding to a blue mountain
lake and alpine meadows, a noisy waterfall or a
high mountain plateau. The remoteness of the site
from roads or settlements makes for favorable
conditions for encounters with numerous wild
animals. One can observe marals, mountain goats,
boar, lynx, wolves and badgers, and even bears
and snow leopards. There are plenty of hares and
marmots and also birds such as uhlar (mountain
turkey), black grouse and partridge. There are
rainbow trout and golyi osman fish in the rivers
and in the nearby lake. Some of these animals are
subject to licensed hunting. |

can have a pleasant time with your friends near
the fireplace. |

rider can sit in the saddle comfortably, as our
horses are obedient and reliable companions for a
mountain ride. |

Not far from the hotel is a sanatorium where you can use
the gym or sauna, play volleyball, ping-pong and tennis,
and where you can get necessary medical consultation and
aid.
You may visit a local gold processing factory, where you
can get acquainted with the technology of gold extraction

Balkhash Lake and the Ili
river delta are unique sites for ornithologists and
fishing lovers.

At home, photographs and
videos will remind you of the diversity of the
mysterious wold of animals and birds, many of
which you had a chance to see on the lake. |

It is possible to catch a
sheatfish as large as 150 pounds. You will be
able to get such a trophy if you are a little
experienced or, more importantly, if you have the
desire to do it. |

Hiking trips and
bus tours.
We have
worked out a number of mountain routes of differing
lengths and levels of difficulty. You can take any of
those routes in accordance with your abilities,
accompanied by our experienced guides.

Turgen Waterfalls.
On a tour to Turgen Gorge, you will first see the
beautiful waterfalls, 30 meters high, followed by
a visit to the Sacks burial mounds dating from
the first century B.C. |

Issyk-Kul lake.
A multy-days route walking tour to Lake Issyk-Kul
(with return trip to Almaty by bus) will give you
the chance to test yourself and feel yourself as
part of the nature while admiring the beauty and
majesty of the high mountains peak. |

Big Almaty Lake.
Having traveled a mere 25 km away from Almaty,
You will find yourself at the altitude of 2497 m
above sea level, beside a gorgeous glacial lake,
43 meters deep and encircled by peaks. |

Tamgaly.
If you go to Tamgaly Gorge you can see
petroglyphs made by ancient artists, witnessing
for yourself another era of history. |

Red Rocks.
The Red Rocks, formed as a result of an upthrust
of the see bed 1.5 million years ago, reveal to
us a world lost to millennia, quite different
from the one around us. You will see the remains
of petrified plants and shells in the sedimentary
rocks 30 to 35 million years old. |
